Centering People.
Elevating Place. Creating Together.
Alces (al·suhz) the genus and species name for the moose—a creature deeply associated with Wyoming, yet not native to this region’s original boundaries. The name speaks to how identities are shaped by movement, memory, and adaptation over time.
Like the moose, people have migrated through and made home in this landscape for generations.
At Alces, we believe being a Wyomingite is not defined by permanence, but by presence: how we connect to place, honor layered histories, and contribute to the unfolding story of this land.
